I am passionate about supporting people in developing personal effectiveness via appropriate use of behaviours that promote good working relationships and workplace productivity.

As a management consultant, trainer and coach most of my work involves facilitating teams and individuals to examine their personal effectiveness via interactive workshops and 1-2-1 feedback

I have spent much of my career working within the oil & gas industry. I began in a technical role as a research drilling engineer but subsequently developed skills in people management, progressing to working as global training and competence manager for a drilling company. I currently work with clients from multiple industry sectors including oil and gas, the NHS, local authorities, food processing and the third sector.

My passion for coaching has grown over the years as I have seen managers struggle to engage with their teams due to a lack of personal awareness or training. Compliance training is vital, but without core people skills managers often fail to get the most out of themselves and their teams.

My personal strengths include getting individuals to undertake activities that challenge them, to look at their preferred behaviours, and set concrete development plans to develop personal effectiveness.
